Position Summary:

 

Phone triage position supporting various orthopedic providers and would have nurse of the day duties of post ops, blood draws, and nasal swabs. 

Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing, diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet Health Services policy. Accountability for the quality of care delivered, recognizing the limits of knowledge and experience; addressing situations beyond the nurse’s competency; and performing to the level of education, knowledge, and skill ordinarily expected of an individual who has completed an approved professional nursing education program. Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights. Promotes a safe and therapeutic environment of care and advocates for the best interests of individual patients. Resolves concerns or complaints regarding patient care or service.

 

Work Schedule:

.60 FTE, Monday - Friday 8-5 Variable schedule/rotating days, Hybrid

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

    • Graduated from a school of nursing.
      • Associate degree/diploma or higher required.

  • Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

    • Maintain a current state certified registered nurse’s licensure.
    • BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA), or American Red Cross guidelines.

       

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development necessary to provide appropriate care to the patient population served.
    • Possesses the qualities of strong critical thinking skills and ability to multitask.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    • 1 year of prior experience in nursing preferred.
