About this role

We’re looking for a Product Development Associate to join the team behind our House Brands—the exclusive labels that define the Huckberry spirit. This is a foundational role designed for a high-energy operator who is ready to master the "nuts and bolts" of apparel development. From managing the daily flow of samples to ensuring our production trackers are source-of-truth accurate, you’ll be immersed in the craftsmanship that goes into every garment we make.

Over time, this role offers the opportunity to expand scope across categories, vendors, and internal processes. If you’re a curious, team-first problem solver looking to build a career in product development, this is your starting point.

This role is based out of our headquarters in Austin, TX; relocation support will be provided to a remote hire

Responsibilities
  • Support the Product Development Manager in keeping development timelines on track across multiple apparel categories
  • Open, sort, log, and distribute incoming submissions and samples
  • Maintain accurate trackers and keep sample flow tools up to date so the team stays aligned
  • Review and validate samples against references and Bills of Materials; flag discrepancies and questions early
  • Support vendor follow-ups by tracking open items (quotes, submits, missing details) and partnering with the Product Development Manager to prepare outreach and close loops
  • Coordinate lab dips, fabric/trim approvals, and other development submits; track status through completion with guidance from the Product Development Manager
  • Build and maintain sample charts, checklists, and reference files that make information easy to find and use
  • Keep sample and submit storage areas tidy, labeled, and accessible
  • Take notes in cross-functional meetings, recap clear next steps, and help close loops on action items
  • 2–4 years of experience in product development or a related apparel role
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable; comfortable working in a process-driven environment where accuracy matters
  • Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets; PLM experience is a plus
  • Clear communicator who’s comfortable following up, asking questions, and course-correcting quickly
  • Strong sense of ownership and urgency—able to keep work moving without needing a nudge
  • Comfortable juggling shifting priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to support vendor workflows through tracking and documentation, with vendor communication led by the Product Development Manager
  • Team-first, curious teammate who’s excited to grow development skills and take on more ownership over time
  • Medical, Dental, Vision benefits
  • 401(k) and employer match
  • Annual Huckberry shopping credits
  • Paid Sabbatical leave at 4 years
  • Summer Fridays
  • Weekly catered lunch
  • Monthly happy hours
  • Mental health resources
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Paid Vacation & Paid Sick Leave
  • Volunteer Time Off
  • Generous employee discount
  • WFH flexibility
  • Annual offsites
