Senior Manager, Digital Design — Digital Experience

Application Deadline: Thursday, January 29th at 5pm ET

Role Summary

Our mission at HubSpot is to help millions of organizations grow better.

As Senior Manager, Digital Design, you’ll lead the team shaping HubSpot’s most visible digital experiences on HubSpot.com and other public-facing web experiences. You’ll set a high bar for visual craft, UX quality, and technical excellence while guiding a multidisciplinary team of designers to do the best work of their careers. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on partnership, connecting design decisions to meaningful user and business outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, grow, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of digital, UX, and research designers across HubSpot’s web ecosystem.

  • Contribute and help evolve the long-term vision for HubSpot.com, ensuring digital experiences are visually compelling, accessible, performant, and user-centered.

  • Foster a culture of curiosity, inclusion, and experimentation where designers are empowered to take risks and grow their craft.

  • Balance strategic direction with hands-on engagement—coaching, unblocking, and continuously improving how design work flows from concept to launch.

  • Champion high-quality visual design and UX, blending strong aesthetics with thoughtful interaction design.

  • Use data, research, and experimentation to improve both the quality of HubSpot’s web experiences and the efficiency and reliability of how they’re delivered.

  • Encourage and model the use of AI-first design tooling to accelerate exploration, reduce friction in execution, and scale high-quality design outcomes.

  • Translate design vision into business-relevant outcomes, connecting creative decisions to metrics and impact.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in digital or web design, with a strong foundation in visual design and front-end craft.

  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing multidisciplinary design teams.

  • Hands-on experience designing, shipping, and evolving live, production websites.

  • Experience designing for large-scale websites, such as high page-volume properties, multi-language experiences, and/or multi-brand ecosystems.

  • Deep understanding of end-to-end web design, from research and concepting through prototyping, handoff, and QA.

  • Strong command of layout, hierarchy, typography, motion, and digital visual systems.

  • Demonstrated experience building or maintaining design systems that scale across teams and digital experiences.

  • Technical fluency and comfort partnering with developers, balancing feasibility, performance, accessibility, and quality.

  • Experience translating design rationale into clear business impact through metrics and storytelling.

  • Active use of AI-first design tools to explore ideas, iterate on designs, or support research and insight generation.

  • A leadership style grounded in empathy, clarity, accessibility, and collaboration.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience working on content-rich marketing or brand websites.

  • Familiarity with SEO, web performance optimization, and modern front-end frameworks.

  • Experience designing systems that support AI or LLM-driven content and experiences.

  • Background collaborating closely with Brand, Marketing, or Growth teams.

  • Experience working in a SaaS or technology-driven organization.

Where You’ll Work

  • Location: United States

  • Work type: Remote-first

  • Office option: Hybrid or onsite available for team members local to Cambridge, MA

Application Requirements
