Hubbell's Systems Control location in Iron Mountain, MI is looking for a Project Manager II to become part of our Integrated Substation Solutions team. As a Project Manager, you will manage a diverse group of customers, providing extraordinary customer service, and overseeing project scope, cost, and delivery expectations. A Day In The Life
- Customer focus as primary point of contact with internal and external customers; providing frequent, specific updates regarding current projects
- Ultimately accountable for assigned projects from concept to completion; effectively managing project schedules and margins
- Technical ability to interpret customer specifications and provide a design which meets all requirements, especially quality and schedule
- Responsible for ensuring a quality drawing package is released to manufacturing
- Create BOM’s, maintain schedules, and update QC forms
- Recognize a need for and identify areas for product and process improvements
- Work safely in and around energized electrical enclosures
- Customer visits (travel approximately 10% of the time)
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering related field or Associate’s Degree with Utility Systems Certificate; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- 1 to 3 years of experience in related engineering, co-op or internship role, or five years of experience working on a Systems Control project management team
- Knowledge and understanding of the company’s product offering and customer needs
- Basic understanding of AC and DC circuits
- Exposure to reading schematics and wiring diagrams
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven analytical & problem-solving skills
