We’re Hiring a Graphic Designer!

The Hubbell Enterprise Marketing (HEM) Specialist, Graphic Design is responsible for creating and elevating brand awareness of Hubbell and its portfolio of brands through creative, on-brand graphic design. They energize clients with a natural eye for design and a drive to inspire dynamic ideas that connect with diverse audiences. The Specialist should be extremely creative, dedicated, and able to work well under pressure and strict deadlines, with strong conceptual skills, design expertise, and the ability to articulate how visual ideas support business and brand objectives.

 

In addition to producing high-quality creative work, this role supports the development and documentation of brand guidelines. The Specialist helps translate brand strategy into cohesive visual systems and clear standards, ensuring a consistent Hubbell voice through storytelling, imagery, and overall look and feel to drive awareness, engagement, and advocacy.

 

This position is a hybrid role and is can be hired in one of these locations: St. Louis, MO, Greenville, SC (preferred), Columbia, SC, and Farmington, CT.

A Day in the Life

  • Use best-in-class design tools, techniques, and technologies to produce innovative graphic design and artwork for use in presentations, publications, promotional materials, websites, social media, and other mediums as assigned
  • Confer with internal customers to discuss project requirements, objectives, presentation concepts and then coordinate creative activities
  • Provide input and collaboration on design concepts, brand standards and creative strategies
  • Understand and utilize stakeholder or creative leadership feedback to improve designs
  • Create custom designs, conforming to creative standards, brand guidelines and project specifications
  • Ensure high quality and on time completion of all work projects
  • Serve as a designer on projects with an ability to execute successfully with support from team leads or sr. designers on team projects
  • Work with team leads to understand and execute on the creative strategy for projects
  • Learn to articulate design decisions and present work to creative leads or stakeholders

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • BFA or BS degree in graphic design, illustration, fine arts, or other relevant field of study. 
  • At least 1+ years of experience in graphic design or related experience
  • Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite specifically, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • A solid understanding of and hands-on experience applying graphic design principles and best practices
  • Stellar problem-solving skills, flexibility, and ability to effectively prioritize
  • Knowledge of and experience in graphic design, illustration, animation, packaging, web design and multi-media required
  • The ability to work with supervision in delivering high quality work and is capable of effectively collaborating with global, cross-functional teams as needed

  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills with exemplary attention to detail
