Systems Control is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer Co-op to become a part of our Integrated Substation Solutions team - May to December 2026.

 

As a Mechanical Design Engineer Co-op, you will support Design, Manufacturing, and Engineering Teams in our world-class facility. A Day In The Life

Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by: 

  • Work with Project Management and Drafting to design products.
  • Create standard drawings. 
  • Assist in design verification testing, documentation, and reporting.
  • Provide manufacturing support for specific customers and/or production areas.
  • Assist in implementing design changes and communicate requirements to all impacted groups.
  • Identify potential improvements to products.

What will help you thrive in this role?

 

  • Pursuing a B.S Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field. Completed 4+ Semesters preferred.
  • Experience using 3D modeling software (Creo preferred), 2D AutoCAD and MS Office Suite
  • Knowledgeable in Engineering Mechanics, Strengths of Materials, Welding, and other manufacturing processes
  • Must be a team player, creative, and have strong hands on mechanical knowledge
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
