Field Service Technician – HVAC & Building Controls

We’re looking for a skilled Field Service Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll perform troubleshooting, maintenance, commissioning, and software support for HVAC and building automation systems. What You’ll Do

 

HVAC / Mechanical / Controls Service

 

  • Perform preventive maintenance and service on a variety of HVAC systems

 

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and mechanical issues

 

  • Complete detailed service reports and keep documentation up to date

 

  • Ensure high-quality work that meets OEM and industry standards

 

Controls & Software Support

 

  • Commission, configure, and program building automation hardware/software

 

  • Analyze system data, alarms, and trends to identify issues

 

  • Update firmware, device configurations, and system parameters

 

  • Assist junior technicians with advanced troubleshooting

 

Customer Support

 

  • Provide professional on-site and remote technical support

 

  • Clearly communicate findings and recommendations

 

  • Deliver responsive, customer-focused service and follow-through

 

What You Bring

 

  • 3–5 years of experience in HVAC, controls, or electro-mechanical service

 

  • Strong understanding of heat pumps, HVAC systems, or building automation

 

  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and control schematics

 

  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and HVAC control software

 

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites

 

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

 

Physical Requirements

 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

 

  • Ability to stand, climb, kneel, and work in mechanical spaces

 

  • Comfortable working in various environmental conditions
