HSBC Qianhai Securities Limited (HSBC Qianhai), a joint venture securities company, was incorporated on 28 August 2017, pursuant to Supplementary Agreement X to the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangements (CEPA) between the mainland and Hong Kong.

The registered capital of HSBC Qianhai is RMB1.8 billion. The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) holds 90% of the shares, while Qianhai Financial Holdings Co., Ltd. (QFH) holds the remaining 10%. Our headquarters are located in Qianhai, Shenzhen. We have branch offices in Beijing and Shanghai, and a trading outlet in Qianhai, Shenzhen.

Responsibilities of the role holder:

  1. Conduct in-depth macroeconomic research on China and overseas, including growth, inflation, monetary and fiscal policy, trade, credit, and regulatory developments;
  2. Monitor and interpret high-frequency economic indicators, policy announcements, and geopolitical events to assess their market impact;
  3. Collaborate closely with traders and portfolio managers to ensure timely dissemination of opinions that support trading decisions;
  4. Follow up the research results of mainstream institutions and conduct corresponding research;
  5. Conduct and support ad hoc projects where applicable.

 

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  1. Master degree or above with background in economics, finance, statistics or related fields;
  2. 2+ years of experience working in macro research or relevant role at financial institutions such as mutual fund, asset management of securities firm; candidates with overseas macroeconomic or multi-asset class research are preferred;
  3. Hold qualification of the interbank local currency markets;
  4. Strong attention to details, strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and project management skills;
  5. Team player and proven communication skills;
  6. Proficient in Mandarin & English.
