We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President - Business Risk Manager

In this role, you will:

  • Support the Regulatory Risk team covering several areas including Global Sales Quality, Conflicts of Interest, Conduct and Cross Border for Private Bank.
  • Engage in First Line of defense risk management projects namely Issue Management, Control Monitoring activities, Risk and Control Assessments, to name a few.
  • Take on priority tasks such as Audit/Assurance Readiness, Operational Resilience project with emphasis on adherence to quality of deliverables and timelines.
  • Participate in validating the design and operating effectiveness of the key controls through inspection, inquiry, observation, sampling, re-performance and recalculation.
  • Participate in the review of risks and key controls through end-to-end process walkthroughs, events or thematic reviews, data-driven reviews or issue read across, and evidence reviews.
  • Participate in activities to help ensure control assessments are accurate, effective, comply with procedures and templates, and meet quality control requirements.
  • Assist with the implementation of the new risks in line with retail term credit limit runway for the business within the Global Team.

To be successful you will:

  • 10-18 years of experience in regulatory Risk with Bachelors/Masters degree.
  •  Knowledge of Core Regulatory Risks including Sales Quality, Conduct, Cross Border and Conflicts of Interest.
  • Good understanding of operational risk and controls, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk management roles
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions.
  • Independent and able to work under minimal supervision with ability to prioritize deliverables.
  • A sound knowledge of the Private Banking Business, including products & services.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Package includes Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
