Estimator (Sizewell C)

Main Duties:

· Support estimates in accordance with the SZC policies and procedures.
· Generally support the Geotechnical Estimating Team with the estimate development
· Review SZC's drawings and specifications to prepare accurate costing sheets for materials, labour and equipment
· Record assumptions and identify risks and opportunities including supporting developing the risk evaluation from a pricing/budgetary point of view.
· Liaise with members of the project team & supply chain to develop and understand methodologies and principles proposed.
· Support in developing from first principles labour, plant material, subcontract pricing within the Contractor's Estimating Software Candy.
· Producing quantity take-off's and scheduling from enquiry documents
· Compiling elementary bills for pricing
· Preparation of supplier and sub-contractor enquiries for sourcing quotations
· Compilation of graphics and text to include within tender proposals
· Liaising with plant division to source bespoke items
· Working within various electronic portals to submit and retrieve information.
· Support package handovers to operations.

Requirements:

· Proficient in the use of excel and similar software.
· Good knowledge & understanding of written English & mathematics
· Experienced estimating background using Candy Estimating Software.
· Experienced estimating background using RIB Cost X Quantification & Estimating Software.
· Experience of working with the AACE principles of Estimating Class and associated maturity
· Mobile and flexible
