<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Human Resource Generalist</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Full Time</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Days</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Essential Functions</strong></span></p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">HR Management Functions</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Stays up to date on latest trends and best-practices in Human Resources and in Benefits.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Helps to ensure that the Human Resources Department is a valuable and approachable department for all employees and helps foster and develop a “great place to work” culture.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Understands employment laws related to wage and hour laws, required postings, OSHA, ADA, EEO, FLSA, FMLA, HIPAA, etc.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Helps ensure compliance with existing personnel policies and procedures.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Reviews and responds to unemployment claims and attends Lancaster and York-area hearings, as necessary. Works with Director of Human Resources (DHR) to address Harrisburg and MarLin area unemployment claims and hearings.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Serves as a part of the Employee Appreciation and Activities Committee and helps plan, coordinate, and administer various appreciation events and activities. May provide leadership to this committee as needed.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Helps guide and coach supervisors and staff as appropriate.</span></p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Employee Benefits</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Administers employee benefit options including health, voluntary insurances, 401(k), workers’ compensation, unemployment compensation, (etc.) benefits. Works with DHR to manage workers’ compensation claims and benefits in Harrisburg and MarLin area. Interacts with vendors regarding employee questions/concerns with benefits.
