Position Summary:

The Compensation Senior Analyst supports the administration and analysis of the company’s compensation programs to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness. This role partners closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to provide data-driven insights and recommendations that align with the organization’s total rewards strategy.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and skilled at turning data into actionable information.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Compensation Program Support

  • Assist in administering base pay, incentive, and recognition programs in accordance with company policies and pay practices.
  • Support the annual compensation cycle, including merit reviews, market adjustments, and incentive calculations.
  • Prepare compensation-related communications and reports for HR and business leaders.

Job Evaluation & Market Pricing

  • Conduct job evaluations and market pricing to determine appropriate job levels and salary ranges using established methodologies and compensation survey data.
  • Maintain and update job descriptions, job codes, and compensation structures in partnership with HR Business Partners.
  • Support the development and maintenance of a global job level and job architecture framework with associated pay structures.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws (e.g., FLSA, pay transparency, equal pay legislation).
  • Evaluate new and revised positions using established methodologies to determine appropriate job levels and pay grades.
  • Ensure consistency in job titling, leveling, and internal equity across the organization.

Analytics, Reporting & Compliance

  • Collect, analyze, and report on compensation data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports, including market competitiveness, pay equity, and budget analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, pay transparency, and equal pay requirements).

Collaboration & Consultation

  • Provide compensation analysis and recommendations to support hiring, promotions, and organizational changes.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support competitive offers for new hires.
  • Work closely with HRIS and Finance teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of compensation data.

Continuous Improvement & Projects

  • Support design / configuration and implementation of new compensation module in HRIS (Dayforce).
  • Participate in compensation projects such as salary structure updates, market surveys, and system enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and automate reporting for greater efficiency.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of compensation principles, job evaluation, and market analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field required.
  • 4 years of experience in Compensation, HR Analytics, or Finance.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Dayforce, Workday, SAP, Oracle) and compensation tools preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) a plus.
