Position Summary:

The Receiver will ensure all deliveries are accurately labeled, stocked and accessible for the Food & Beverage Team. The successful candidate will have a passion for organization and a high attention to detail. Successful communication between vendors and the team will be a key aspect to ensuring all guests have an amazing experience.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide amazing hospitality to coworkers and guests as prescribed in our RESPECT Service System.
● Receive all Food and Beverage items, including but not limited to dry goods & sundries, perishable food items, linens, liquor/beer/wine/non-alcoholic beverages, smallwares, glassware; ensuring that the products received match the corresponding invoice and reporting any discrepancies and/or damages.
● Ensure the proper handling and administration of invoices and documents.
● Receive, store, and organize food and supplies using proper food handling techniques including stock rotation for products that are sensitive to date codes and monitoring temperatures of perishable products.
● Ensure best practice of First In First Out when receiving products and preparing deliveries.
● Update inventory records and participate in inventory audits.
● Assist Front of House crew if required.
● Assist Back of House crew if required.
● Assist in cleaning and organizing of hospitality vessel holds and land-based storage areas.
● Assist with food deliveries to all vessels, as needed.
● Be prepared to begin work at scheduled time.
● Maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards.
● Completes other duties as assigned by the Manager on duty.

 

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

O.S.S.D. or equivalent as recognized by the Ministry of Education.
● Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
● Previous receiving experience preferred.
● Smart Serve Certificate required.
● Food Handler’s Certificate required.
● Energetic and enthusiastic personality essential.
● Ability to deal with shifting priorities.
● Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Must be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to guests and coworkers.
● Must possess a service orientation – actively looking for ways to help others.
● Will work for extended periods of time without sitting.
● Required to lift furniture and other heavy items up and down stairs.
● Will be required to be available for work on all weekends and major holidays.
● Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, pull, move or lift up to 60 lbs (27 kgs).
● If required, wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (i.e. non-slip shoes, gloves, weather appropriate dress attire, sun protection).
