Skippy Salaried Team Leader

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a work group to assure production of products/services meets daily production schedules.
  • Ensure company safety policy is followed.
  • Ensure proper sanitation procedures are followed and that all employees follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Ensure communication of objectives, programs, policies and that team members are familiar with their authority, responsibilities, and objectives.
  • Ensure achievement of objectives relating to personnel management, personnel safety, product quality, productivity, yield, and scheduling.
  • Oversee training of new employees in proper performance of line tasks.
  • Complete production reports and payroll responsibilities as required.
  • Leads team members by managing and executing plant processes.
  • Through leadership, training and effective role modeling, personally ensure  an engaged and team-oriented work force.
  • Drive continuous improvement of key metrics.
  • Team Leaders are usually “on their feet” in the production area about 80% of the shift.

Required:

  • Discipline, responsibility, and motivation
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A pattern of initiative and leadership
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  Degree in related field, lead experience, and/or equivalent work experience

  Knowledge of HACCP programs

Training:

  • Approximately six weeks are spent in hands-on training. 
  • Team Leaders attend a virtual Inspired Hires orientation. This will include presentations by different divisions to increase product knowledge, company knowledge, and leadership skills.
  • 6-month operational training program while on the job.

Location and Shift:

  • Little Rock, AR
  • Shifts are 8-10 hours, working Sunday night through Thursday night, some Friday nights as necessary.
  • Hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM

At Skippy, base pay is one part of our total compensation package . The base hiring pay for this role is $70,200 per year, and your actual total compensation will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
