The Customer Assisant II position will be located at Thrifty's in Estherville, Iowa. The store is open 9 am to 4 pm on weekdays and Saturday.
Thrifty's is a retail thrift store that receives donated items from the area, identifies what can be utilized, and then sells the products to the general public at the store location.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide them assistance to ascertain what they want or need.
- Assist customers with unloading vehicles with donated items
- Look through donated items and discard and/or reject items that are not acceptable donatable items.
- Sort through approved donations, distribute to designated areas
- Crush down cardboard, emptying trash cans and other cleaning duties as assigned
- Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions and security practices.
- Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts and know how to prevent or handle these situations.
- Promote safety and correct/report all safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED/HSED preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable transportation.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must pass a health assessment at time of hire.
- Have the ability to maintain up to date health assessment as requested.
- Clearance from a criminal background check and abuse reporting check at time of hire.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strength and flexibility to handle boxes, containers or cartons.
- Physically able to walk, stoop, stand, sit and climb stairs.
