The Division of Public Policy is looking for an Officer to support the Master of Public Policy Program (MPP).

The appointee is expected to provide support for the following areas:

  • Assist the MPP Director to coordinate and follow through the year-long final year project (PAE) in (i) client solicitation; (ii) following up with faculty members/PAE advisers and updating PAE database; (iii) consolidating clients’ preferred area(s) of research and proposing potential matching; (iv) assist students in group formation and topic(s) formulation and support students learning activities; (v) manage the online learning platform for the course(s); and (vi) check attendance and handle peer evaluation and examination/presentation arrangements.
  • Assist the Assistant Manager to provide administrative support for the MPP program, e.g., organizing student activities and recruitment exercise, etc.
  • Maintain and update MPP related news on website, LinkedIn, WeChat, and IG.
  • Provide general administrative support to the MPP Director and the core faculty members teaching MPP courses.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Applicants should have a recognized bachelor’s degree, preferably in public policy or public management, plus 2 years or above post-qualification work experience. The successful applicant is expected to have a positive and proactive attitude and enjoy interacting with students. The ideal candidate should also be meticulous, highly organized, able to multi-task, and a good team player. Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese (including fluency in Putonghua), word processing, and spreadsheet management is required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
