We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as the Assistant Officer (Sports Facilities). The appointee will report to the Head (Sports Development) with primary responsibilities to assist in the daily operation of Water Sports Center as well as other sports facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle the daily operation of Water Sports Center and follow the safety protocols to organize and operate water sports programs, training and activities.
  • Operate power boat and take up the lifeguard duty for water sports programs, training and events.
  • Perform basic repair and maintenance of water sports equipment regularly as well as maintaining the inventory record.
  • Provide administrative support to sports facilities management and handle other relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A recognized associate degree or equivalent qualification in physical education, sports or recreation management, or related studies.
  • Beach lifeguard award and Pleasure Vessel Operator grade 2 certificate are preferred.
  • Valid first-aid certificate and AED training.
  • Process proficiency/participation certificates in at least two water sports such as kayak, dragon boat, rowing, sailing, scuba diving, water polo and/or windsurfing.
  • Able to communicate in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
  • Ability to work independently, responsive, and a good team player with a keen interest in working with students.
  • Willingness to work during weekends and outside normal office hours.

  • A 2-year renewable contract with a competitive starting salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
