Applications are now invited from high-caliber candidates to apply for the above position in the Student Housing & Residential Life Office (SHRLO) under the Dean of Students’ Office (DSTO).
Key Responsibilities:
The appointee will play a crucial role in the central administrative team of the office:
- Provide administrative and logistical support to facilities management and office management, including but not limited to human resources and financial matters.
- Oversee the service levels and respective administrative procedures of key outsourced service providers for the student halls.
- Assist the office with central tender and procurement processes for the office and various student halls.
- Serve as the administrator of various hall operation systems and liaise with internal units and vendors.
- Support the University and the Office’s mission to enrich residential life within the HKUST residential community.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
There will be much liaison work with internal departments, vendors and contractors. Working outside normal office hours may be required.
Requirements:
- Applicants should have a bachelor's degree and at least 3 to 5 years of relevant post-qualification work experience. Experience working in student halls will be advantageous.
- Strong sense of problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Experience in working at student halls will be advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
(Duration: 2 years, renewable).
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
