We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences:
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in coordinating a research project – “Lifestyle factors, socioeconomic status, body functioning and health-related metrics: A community study in Hong Kong”.
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
Conducting literature review on relevant topics;
Liaising with study sites for subject recruitment and data collection;
Assisting the research team in collecting data and conducting surveys;
Inputting data into Excel or SPSS;
Providing research-related assistance.
He/she will be normally assigned to work less than 68 hours per month.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience, and competence:
For Technical Assistants:
· Completion of HKDSE or a diploma
· A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
· Strong communication and collaboration skills;
· Proficient in MS Office Words, Excel, and powerpoint; proficient in SPSS will be an advantage.
For Research Assistants:
· A recognized Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in healthcare, social science, psychology, statistics, or related disciplines
· Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese
· Effective team player with the ability to coordinate research projects independently
· Proficient in MS Office Words, Excel, and powerpoint; proficient in SPSS will be an advantage.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
