Sr Proposal Engineer

Location- Finland (Remote)

As a Sr Proposal Engineer within Honeywell Industrial Automation in Finland, you will participate in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy and presentations meetings to Honeywell management and customers. Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to internal and external stakeholders. This includes interpreting site surveys, reviewing customer specifications, and identifying opportunities, risks, and required resources to support successful proposal outcomes. You will Analyze, design and develop viable end-to-end technical solutions for the Industrial Automation business with a primary focus on DCS, SCADA and Process Safety Systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver documentation (estimations, proposals, clarifications and other information) in response to customer requests. Coordinate and develop all aspects of the proposal.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy and presentations meetings to Honeywell management and customers. Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to internal and external stakeholders. This includes interpreting site surveys, reviewing customer specifications, and identifying opportunities, risks, and required resources to support successful proposal outcomes.
• Translate customer needs and business requirements into detailed technical solutions and proposals. Create and maintain the Bid Plan, update the Action Rail, coordinate follow-up calls, assign actions, and ensure timely completion.
• Analyze, design and develop viable end-to-end technical solutions for the Industrial Automation business with a primary focus on DCS, SCADA and Process Safety Systems. 
• Identify external content and collaborate with Procurement to obtain technical and commercial offers from external suppliers.
• Estimate Honeywell Solution – hardware, software and services – using Honeywell’s internal estimating tools. For complex proposals, lead and manage a team of estimators.
• Compile and manage approval documentation and support review calls with senior management. This includes functional and internal approvals, as well as any additional required approvals such as commercial terms, payment conditions, etc.

Must Have Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• In depth technical knowledge of DCS, SCADA, Safety Systems and well-developed sense of the industry and market trends 
• Finish and English languages 
• MS Office package pro use, Excel, Word
• Expert in the bid management process and best practices

Qualification Preferred

• 5 years of bid management or project management experience 
• Knowledge of existing Honeywell Process Solutions portfolio 
• Demonstrated success working effectively in a deadline driven environment
• Proven ability to work on multiple projects at one time
