- Define policies and make decisions that ensure productivity, quality, and cost efficiency, securing the achievement of production, revenue, and cost objectives (P&L, annual budget).
- Ensure a strong safety culture, with procedures, training, and controls that comply with all applicable regulations.
- Develop and maintain systems and processes to:
- Measure and optimize productivity, quality, and performance (KPIs, metrics, targets).
- Analyze data, identify waste, and trigger corrective actions.
- Ensure effective return on assets and optimal use of resources.
- Lead the implementation and deployment of manufacturing practices focused on quality, continuous improvement, and modern manufacturing techniques that improve quality and reduce cost.
- Direct and align plant-level support functions (finance, engineering, materials, quality, human resources, facilities, etc.) with the site’s strategy and operational objectives.
- Be accountable for the overall performance of the Costa Rica site:
- Operational and financial results (P&L), budget compliance.
- Achievement of production levels, quality standards, inventories (in-plant, in transit, and in DCs), and on-time delivery.
- Support the achievement of revenue objectives for products manufactured in Costa Rica.
- Coordinate the planning, execution, and follow-up of projects, programs, systems, policies, and goals (including NPI and plant transfers), ensuring on-time, on-cost, and on-quality completion.
Ensure an effective, productive operation in full compliance with corporate policies and the Quality System, guaranteeing the achievement of production and quality targets.
- Prepare and present periodic (monthly) reports to Corporate on production levels, projects, expenses, quality, inventory, and headcount, fostering corporate alignment.
- Guide the implementation of new production processes that maximize utilization of installed capacity, technological resources, and human talent.
- Maintain frequent communication with Corporate/Division to ensure alignment with directives, policies, production goals, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with Human Resources the development, implementation, and follow-up of talent management policies and processes, promoting a healthy, ethical, and collaborative work environment, and leading labor relations activities.
- Support finance reporting to VP Ops and CSCO, explaining variances and controlling the budget.
- Plan, organize, direct, and run day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations in terms of quality, service, and delivery.
- Be responsible for personnel, production output, product quality, and on-time shipping, ensuring efficient resource allocation and maximum asset utilization.
- Develop, coordinate, manage, and strengthen the plant team, fostering trusting relationships and collaboration across all functions.
-Publish the weekly CR site report, ensuring the timely collection, analysis, and updating of key information to provide performance visibility and support decision-making.
- Attend corporate meetings and represent the site in the absence of the Operation Multisite VP, ensuring timely communication of relevant information and decision-making aligned with site and organizational objectives.
