What to expect:

The Manufacturing Trainer is responsible for overseeing key training elements within Operations.  The Trainer is responsible for supporting associate-level training plans necessary to complete production, organizing and supporting training for new production employees, monitoring production department training, and maintaining a training matrix.   Participates in the development and implementation of new training programs and may introduce training content for new processes and sequences for manufacturing areas. The Trainer is required to collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Management to ensure high-quality training and promote teamwork.   Must have a full understanding of the manufacturing process of products. Ensures training compliance within the electronic training tracking system. Develops training governance policies. Leads training projects to support continuous improvement. Prepares reports for management as needed.     

What we expect:

  • Defines, organizes, and maintains Job Families for utilization within HLE, and for cross-training assessments.
  • Runs reports from HLE to communicate upcoming production training and past due training for the worksite.
  • Maintains On-the-Job training forms created by the Manufacturing Engineering team for production to ensure cohesive and aligned training events.
  • Maintains accurate training documentation and submission for record keeping.  Contacts the Global Training Team to ensure proper documentation of OTJ training forms for associates into the Global HLE
  • Creates and maintains production training matrices for visualization on the Tier1 boards.
  • Calculates and maintains cross-training for the production team.
  • Attends and supports Daily Tier 1 and Tier 2 meetings and executes assigned actions to timely completion.
  • Serves as head of the Training Team, ensuring alignment of SMEs and training initiatives.
  • Audits the manufacturing line for adherence to SOPs, JIBs and other job-related functions.
  • Develops new training content or training methods for production needs.
  • Supports new team members and ensures acclimation to the work area and environment.
  • Provides the framework to ensure production associates are trained on equipment and processes defined in SOPs, and PDAs.
  • Assists with the development of training schedule with scheduling personnel to support new hire training and training for existing personnel.
  • Actively build collaborative relationships partnerships with all levels of the organization in the identification and implementation of learning solutions.
  • Plans and co-facilitates training sessions and learnings, focusing on a wide variety of topics.
  • Provide guidance, expertise and consulting to functional managers and SMEs in the assessment of training needs, the design of appropriate training, development, and implementation, and the measurement of training effectiveness.
  • Provides feedback to trainees to ensure all skills / knowledge have been acquired and communicates any skill/knowledge gaps that require additional training.
  • Solicits feedback from trainees to ensure the appropriateness of learnings and for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Helps to develop learning content and procedures including new SOPs, TRNs for system training programs as necessary.
  • Regular and punctual attendance. Ability to adhere to standardized production schedule for position and ability to work overtime to support production needs as necessary.

Education & Experience:     

  • Preferred Minimum Non-Technical Degree: High School (H.S./GED) or Associate Degree       
  • Preferred Minimum Non-Technical Degree: 5+ Years 
  • Experience as a trainer in a learning and development environment. 
  • Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing and Cleanroom Environment

Skills

  • Requires a high-level understanding in the local manufacturing processes and GMP requirements.
  • Requires strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Must be detail oriented and have excellent communication skills.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $122,000 to $200,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand..
