About this role
Overview
Holisticare Hospice is currently looking for Energy Healing Volunteers, who are interested in providing a compassionate presence and support to the patients and families that we serve.
Energy Healers make wonderful Hospice Volunteers due to having used non-medical interventions to provide comfort and care to those who may be suffering from emotional, or physical pain. This a great opportunity for any certified practitioners in the field of Reiki, EFT, Massage Therapy, Crystal Healing, Sound Healing, Aromatherapy, Meditation, End of Life Doulas, and the like, who are looking to practice their skills, while giving back to the community!
This is an in-person volunteer experience. Holisticare provides FREE convenient volunteer training and flexible volunteer opportunities, close to where you work, live, or go to school!
VOLUNTEERS ARE NOT PAID EMPLOYEES AND DO NOT RECEIVE COMPENSATION FOR THEIR TIME.

Holisticare Hospice provides professional care with a personal touch. We accomplish this by focusing on both the patient and their family. We will treat the disease process with medical expertise while emphasizing quality living, not only physically, but also psychosocially, emotionally and spiritually. Comfort, compassion and calming presence are the gifts we bring to this service, and we are honored to walk with the patient and loved ones through this special time.

- Understanding and supportive of hospice philosophy.
- Compassionate person who is accepting and respectful of people's differences.
- Must be able to pass background check requirements.

About Holisticare Hospice
Hospice is a type of care and a philosophy of care that focuses on the palliation of a terminally ill patient’s symptoms. These symptoms can be physical, emotional, spiritual or social in nature. Hospice care is provided to people that have a limited life expectancy and choose comfort and relief from pain and other symptoms.
From its inception, the mission of Holisticare Hospice has been to ensure that end-of-life care envelops the patient, their caregivers, and their families with spiritual and physical comfort. Forgoing curative treatment and opting for a palliative approach allows hospice care to be provided where the patient lives, surrounded by family and friends with the support of experienced healthcare professionals.
