Job Description:

The opportunity
 

Join Hitachi Energy’s Transformers business and take end‑to‑end ownership of sold customer projects from kick‑off to handover and after‑sales coordination. You will be the single point of contact for customers, orchestrating technical, commercial, safety, logistics, and site‑related topics. The role is hands‑on and fast‑paced: you will keep schedules moving, secure approvals, coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and drive clear, timely decisions that protect delivery dates and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with factories outside Finland, our customer support team, and sales and product managers. The location for this role is in Vaasa, Finland.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Serve as the customer’s primary contact for all questions on the project (technical, commercial, safety, site activities).
  • Own document flow: design/document reviews with factories, drawing follow‑ups, on‑time customer approvals; pre‑submit checks to ensure factory updates are included.
  • Drive design and scope changes: raise/manage internal and external change requests, price deltas, and delivery‑time implications.
  • Maintain bi‑weekly/monthly schedules; run reviews and follow‑ups internally and with the customer.
  • Coordinate documentation (FAT procedures, manuals, reports).
  • Plan and coordinate manage FATs (on‑site and remote).
  • Clarify and coordinate schedule updates.


Your background
 

  • M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
  • Some experience in project management/coordination or adjacent roles.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems; especially high‑voltage substations and transformers.
  • Background in power plants, electricity distribution, or industrial facilities is considered an advantage.
  • Proactive, well‑organized, solution‑oriented and collaborative.
  • Ability to understand customer needs. Passion for operative challenges.
  • Strong Finnish and English, written and spoken.
