About this role

  • Minimum 5-8 years experience
  • Perform advanced quantification across complex structures and integrated systems such as façade, specialized interior finishes. Draft or modify trade-specific preambles, quantify preliminaries and general items, review cost plan quantities, audit team measurements. Apply suitable assumptions (when required) where project information is incomplete. 
  • Lead preparation and review of cost plans at various stages and tender estimates. 
  • Analyse and evaluate items of work unit rates to project specifics by incorporating risk factors. Carryout benchmark against similar projects, price preliminaries, reconcile BOQs with budgets, and provide input on cost strategies, sustainability elements, and fee allowances. Oversee and review pricing work prepared by junior team members.
  • Apply working knowledge of construction technologies and methods in cost planning tasks. Assess cost implications of materials, labour and construction methods during design and execution stages.
  • Oversee post-contract cost management, including review and approval of payment recommendations, cost reports, and cash flow forecasts and present to Client. Establish change control protocols, advise on risk mitigation, evaluate claims and variations, monitor expenditure of provisional sums, and review Final Account Statement. Lead and support junior team members in cost control tasks
