JOB PURPOSE

The Material Handler is responsible for receiving materials using SAP, pulling and delivery of production materials to the designated areas, as well as the removal of finished goods and W-I-P to support the manufacturing process.

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILTIES 

  • Regular and predictable onsite attendance and punctuality.
  • Pull/verify components for internal customers and deliver components to the appropriate areas.
  • Goods receipt of deliveries using ERP system (SAP).
  • Operates manual and electric pallet jacks, reach forklift, and pallet wrapper.
  • Dispatch and return production material per approved procedures.
  • Adheres to SOPs for the requisitioning of materials.
  • Maintains operational readiness of power jacks i.e. checks battery fluid level, charges, etc.  Reports maintenance issues to management personnel.
  • Assists in physical inventories when required.
  • Completes and maintains documents per procedures.
  • Supplies empty pallets and removes broken or oversized pallets.
  • Remove pallets of product and material returns from the material transfer zones and move the pallets to the designated areas.
  • Maintains general housekeeping of warehouse areas.
  • Works overtime as required to support business needs.
  • The incumbent may perform Other duties as assigned by management personnel.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum: H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
  • Preferred: Pharmaceutical Industry experience.

 

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Preferred: Two years of prior material handling experience utilizing hand truck, pallet jack and reach lift.

 

 

SKILLS

  • Ability to read and interpret written documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to complete required documentation as needed.
  • Ability to communicate orally effectively.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and/or decimals.
  • Ability to deal with problems in accordance with approved procedures.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be on their feet majority of the day.
  • The employee is required to lift 50 lbs. continually throughout the workday.
  • This job involves frequent bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Movement of pallets in excess of 100 lbs. by manual or electric pallet jack.

 

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $19.00 per hour. The compensation for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, work location, prior experience and job-related knowledge, relevant skills and expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The Talent Acquisition team can provide more details about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
