We are looking for a talented Category Lead, R&D Procurement to join us. Key Responsibilities:

• participate in the development of department policies, procedures and processes and manage their implementation so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

• Acknowledge participation in the development of policies, processes and procedures.

• Effective implementation of the developed policies, processes and procedures
• Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the procurement category to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.

• Applying supplier relationship management program.

• Effective negotiation and value generation for category.
• Participate in the preparation of department budget and preparing the category budget. Monitor the financial performance to be in line with the set plans notifying management of any anticipated costs, revenues or risks 

• Budget is prepared within the set time scale

• Adherence to budget

• Accountable to build approved suppliers lists, market analysis, and internal business data and information to support the plans set for the category.

• Participate in the product review committee for the evaluation of product profitability and costing

• Data base is to be up to date

• Regular dashboards presented to management

• Leads development and execution of a strategic supplier relationship process targeting preferred and alliance relationships with select, top-tier R&D material suppliers that is focused on governance, competitive advantage, cost management, quality business results, and timely delivery of results.
• Leads development and execution of a performance driven supplier management process resulting in structured feedback, joint problem solving, simplification, reduced variations and overall quality improvements.

• Sourcing R&D projects
• Successfully managing R&D projects from screening stage till launch

Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates whose experience and skills align closely with the qualifications outlined below:

• BSc in a scientific field, Master is plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4-5 years’ experience
