Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance Support
    • Partner with tax vendors to assist with PBC requests needed to complete domestic and international tax returns.
    • Pull, validate and structure data from ERP to support federal, state and local tax returns (income, sales and use, property tax, business licenses, etc.)Coordinate calendars with tax vendors, track status, ensure timely and accurate tax return submissions.
    • Assist with review of international, federal, and state tax returns as prepared by our third-party advisors
    • Assist with maintaining auditable workpapers and evidence of review and approval.
    • Assist with tax notices and support audits as they arise (income tax related, sales tax related, property tax notices, etc.)
    • Assist with researching tax regulations and ensuring compliance with changing laws and regulations.
  • Transfer Pricing (TP) and International Support
    • Gather intercompany data, help maintain TP documentation, and support true ups.
    • Assist in transfer pricing calculations and data requests from our third-party advisor
  • Payment and Cash Control
    • Prepare payment requests and support electronic/manual disbursements with Treasury and Accounts Payable
    • Maintain payment logs and reconcile confirmations to liability accounts with urgency and accuracy
  • Tax Accounting and Reporting
    • Assist with monthly tax account reconciliations and journal entries, including sales and use tax, property tax, and state income tax.
    • Support with preparation of annual tax provision (ASC 740) and related financial statement disclosures.
    • Assist with preparing and maintaining documentation support tax positions and deferred tax balances using data analysis to enhance quality and reduce adjustments.
  • Other
    • Assist in monitoring tax mailbox. Including, but not limited to, handling sales tax exemption certificate requests, monitoring for tax notices from federal and state authorities
    • Support ad hoc tax projects and planning initiatives as needed

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
  • Experience in sales and use tax, property tax, and business licenses a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with ERP systems a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications, specifically Excel
