Purpose of the Job

The Strategic Sourcing Manager will direct purchase planning for multiple jobs, either project- or account-based. This person will work directly with Business Development, Implementation, external agencies, and suppliers to ensure projects are purchased and executed in a way that ensures high quality and competitive pricing

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop a high volume of solution proposals for multiple projects.
• Perform procurement and project management for projects, with an understanding of the client’s objectives.
• Manage communication channels to ensure smooth workflow.
• Oversee specifications for the account to ensure all client requirements, quality expectation, availability, and delivery dates are clear.
• Supervise requests for bid specifications and sending bids to selected vendors.
• Ensure that savings targets are being hit.
• Investigate potential suppliers and make recommendations based on manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and schedule availability.
• Assign and prioritize projects, set goals and timelines, and communicate progress to internal management.
• Handle disputes with suppliers and partner with our Supplier Governance team.
• Manage ongoing reviews of existing accounts to identify improvement opportunities.
• Partner with the VP of Implementation to understand the ongoing priorities of the department.

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

• 7+ years of sourcing and purchasing experience, in the POSM materials either Temporary or Permanent items.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Business, a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced English level.
• Proven project management experience.
• Highly proficient with MS Office software, especially with Excel.
• Strong experience negotiating job costs and schedules with suppliers.
• Strong leadership and direct client interfacing experience.
• Independent thinking, strong organization, and planning abilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Entrepreneurial minded with an internal drive to continuously hit goals and succeed.
• Experience excelling within fast paced, high energy environments.
