Purpose of the Job

 

We are seeking an experienced Design + Delivery Project Manager to join our dynamic team supporting a flagship client in the Technology Retail sector. Our client’s Platforms & Devices Team brings their hardware devices and software experiences to life via fully integrated, through-the-line marketing communications. They’re a dynamic & focused team, whose mission is to positively influence how people discover, explore, and understand their products.

 

This is a key role embedded within our Central Production Hub (CPH) - a dedicated team of skilled producers, project managers and designers. The CPH operates directly within the client's organization, focused on delivery of a high-volume of high-quality marketing assets across all channels for regional and local teams.

 

The primary objective of the Design + Delivery Project Manager is end-to-end management of digital and performance marketing workstreams. This role is essential for ensuring smooth execution, tracking and timely delivery of complex marketing campaigns across multiple digital channels. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter with excellent communication skills and a foundational understanding of performance marketing metrics and digital project management methodologies.

 

You will collaborate with various client stakeholders, external agencies and localization teams, ensuring time and cost efficiency throughout the digital campaign workflow.  Furthermore, we would expect you to work competently with a project management workflow management system - ensuring deadlines are set and met.

 

You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong communication skills and have a proven ability to coordinate creative and technical teams to deliver high-quality, on-time digital assets across various platforms.

 

This is initially a 12-month fixed term salaried contract but with a view to ultimately being a permanent position.

 

This role operates on a blended basis between our client's site(s), our local office and remote.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Project Management & Workflow Coordination

 

  • Take ownership of the projects and serve as the primary point of contact for all operational stakeholders
  • Develop, maintain and track detailed project plans, timelines and resource allocation schedules for all digital marketing campaigns, including paid search, paid social, display advertising and SEO initiatives
  • Utilize project management software (eg Smartsheets) to track project progress, manage tasks, assign responsibilities and ensure all team members are aligned on deadlines and deliverables
  • Schedule and facilitate regular project meetings, including kick-offs, status updates and post-campaign reviews, documenting key decisions, action items and risks
  • Proactively identify potential project bottlenecks, scope creep or resource conflicts and escalate issues to the relevant stakeholders in a timely manner, proposing solutions
  • Manage the workflow and asset approval process, ensuring all creative, copy and tracking elements are delivered on time and meet brand and legal compliance standards
  • Proactively anticipate and manage project complexities / roadblocks and develop mitigation strategies - create “space” and set up the Design & Artworking teams to produce their best work
  • Manage the review and approval process, ensuring all creative assets meet brand guidelines, legal requirements and technical specifications before client delivery

 

Coordination & Communication

 

  • Facilitate clear and effective communication between various team members (client stakeholders, designers, copywriters, external partners) 
  • Ensure all necessary inputs (assets, copy, data, client feedback) are secured and distributed promptly to keep the workflow moving efficiently
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of project decisions, change requests and final approved assets
  • Contribute to regular stand-ups and project status meetings

 

Quality Assurance & Delivery

 

  • Oversee the final quality check of all digital deliverables, ensuring accuracy, functionality and adherence to technical specifications for platform deployment
  • Coordinate asset handover and deployment schedules
  • Contribute to post-mortem analysis on completed projects to identify areas for process improvement
  • Support the implementation of changes to make sure the team and wider creative group are working at optimum efficiency

 

Knowledge Skills + Experience

 

  • Experience in project coordination for the in-house creative department of a highly matrixed client organization, specifically handling digital campaigns
  • Experience of direct client liaison at mid-management level, ideally in a retail or e-commerce environment
  • Expert proficiency with project management tools (eg Smartsheets)
  • Solid understanding of the digital marketing landscape, including standard practices for display advertising, email, and web content
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to handle ambiguity, problem solve, time management and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven, technical work environment
  • Proactive, detailed-oriented, resourceful
  • Ability to own projects and work independently but also to work well with a team
  • Ideally will understand artwork automation tools and the innovative benefits they can bring to the creative production
  • Some experience in management of HTML Development and Motion Design
  • Experience in branding & asset toolkit production across print and digital
  • Experience in B2B marketing design is beneficial, but not essential
  • Some experience of creative software such as Adobe CC; Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign + Figma
