Warehouse Associate

Heritage Landscape Supply Group is seeking a Full-Time Warehouse Associate who will be responsible for accurately and safely stocking, organizing, and managing warehouse inventory, fulfilling customer orders, and supporting daily shipping and receiving of orders. This role ensures materials are handled efficiently and safely to support timely customer deliveries.

The Warehouse Associate will properly and safely stock our materials in our warehouse, pull inventory for customer pick-ups, use a forklift to unload inventory from incoming delivery trucks and load our trucks for jobsite deliveries. You will ensure accurate counts of inventory as it comes in and goes out, rotate stock, and properly handle any damaged materials. Be part of a team because we have a “team-first” attitude. The workweek is Monday through Friday, with an opportunity for overtime during the busy season.

Duties:

• Building/maintaining relationships with customers, providing service by taking orders pulling merchandise and billing appropriately
• Entering customer orders and pulling orders accurately into our order processing system
• Inspect products for defects and damages
• Order pulling/picking/staging
• Replenishment/shipping/receiving
• Staging orders for delivery and loading company vehicles in a warehouse/yard environment
• Focusing on safe work practices, such as wearing PPE, proper lifting techniques, etc. while   performing daily duties and using company equipment
• Other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Basic computer knowledge, Internet use
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred, but not required
• Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment preferred but not necessary.

• Driving a forklift in this type of setting is a plus or we will help you get certified.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs; 50 lbs on a repetitive basis
• Must have basic math skills for inventory counts; and English verbal and written skills to be able to read purchase orders and communicate with team members.

• Able to pass criminal and driving background check and a pre-employment drug test.

Education/Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in a warehouse, distribution center, shipping and receiving department, or similar environment.
