Job Title: JV Relations & Governance Process Coordinator
Department: Government, Joint Venture and External Relations.
Location: Benin - NEPL Office
Directly Reports to: Manager Joint Venture/Regulatory Stakeholder Relations.
Indirectly Reports to: GM, Government, JV and External Relations.
JOB SUMMARY
As a member of the JV/Stakeholder Relations Team, this position entails stakeholder management of JV Partners which requires building and maintaining good relationships to promote collaboration and facilitate the smooth running of OML30 operations.
It also provides vital support in the coordination and facilitation of key Governance engagements between JV Partners and the Operator such as SUBCOM, TECOM, Cash Call and Quarterly Management review meetings. This role is also responsible for maintaining the smooth flow of communication and collaboration between the Operator and Joint Venture (JV) Partners.
Additionally, other tasks include following through on all the operator’s Concurrence requests and obtaining approvals, coordinating Governance meetings between JV Partners and the operator, updating the concurrence register/ letter log weekly. Also, ensuring the endorsement of Work Program/ Budget sheets (SUBCOM, FINCOM, TECOM & OPCOM), Cash Call sheets by all SUBCOMs and writing the Minutes of the meetings within 48hours
Ad Hoc tasks of this position include acting as the liaison with the logistics team to ensure transportation and accommodation are provided for HEOSL staff visiting NEPL Head Office in Benin, as well as securing NEPL access pass for Executive Management and as well as key HEOSL Staff.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Stakeholder Management - Contribute to the development of the companywide stakeholder engagement plan and development of the JV Account Management system and support the execution to Strengthen strategic relationships and derive greater value from JV Partners
- Provide adequate support and ensure that appointments are booked for ELT members who are visiting NEPL Head office in Benin
- Creation and effective implementation of the JV Account Management plan to help in strengthening relationship with the JV Partners.
- Secure important information that are relevant to OML30 Asset and share same with Line Manager to circulate to ELT
Governance and Statutory Engagements – Support and facilitate the process to ensure the smooth running of all Governance meetings - SUBCOM, TECOM, Quarterly Management Review Meetings & Cash Call

- Concurrence – Follow up on all the Operator’s concurrence requests via coordination of a weekly meeting with JV Partners. The role also requires frequent engagement with NEPL Asset Manager and NEPL Staff at various levels.
- Updating the Concurrence register/Letter log on a weekly basis.
- Sharing responses received from JV Partners with Line Manager and distribute to requesting Internal stakeholders.
- Actively follow up/engage various departments in NEPL on requests from the Operator to ensure that relevant memos are prepared and sent to appropriate authorities for approvals.

- Documents control/Correspondence Management:
- Receives the Cash Call request letter from Finance Team
- Obtain NEPL acknowledgement from the ED, Finance and Account and shares same with the finance team
- Send hard copies of Letters/Approvals received from NEPL to HEOSL Head Office in Lagos.
- Ad Hoc Assignments:
- Liaise with the Logistics team and ensure support is provided for all JV activities in NEPL Benin.
- Renewal of NNPC E&P ID cards for Executive Management HEOSL and other staff.
- Coordinate Logistics for all Governance meetings.
- Operations Support – Handles the generation of Remita Retrieval References (RRRs) and managing the payment process for the Operations team to ensure seamless execution of field activities via the NUPRC portal.
- Receive details of request from user department
- Generate the Remita Retrieval References through the NUPRC Portal
- Shares the generated Remita Retrieval Reference number with user department for creation of the back-up documentation to finance team
- Shares RRR and back up documentation with Finance and follows through for payment.
- Generate the payment receipt via NUPRC portal and shares same with user department.
- Operations Support – Handles the generation of Remita Retrieval References (RRRs) and managing the payment process for the Operations team to ensure seamless execution of field activities via the NUPRC portal.
