JOB SUMMARY
The role is responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, effective cash flow management, and strong internal controls. The postholder oversees budgeting, forecasting, and financial close processes, while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and timely delivery of financial information to senior management. The role also supports continuous improvement of accounting systems and processes and ensures joint venture and SubCom financial activities are properly funded, reconciled, and performance-ready.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Monitor Cash Call requests vs Cash Call received to ensure all JV activities are properly funded.
- Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecast.
- Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
- Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on budget activity & work program.
- Report to the GM Finance with timely and accurate financial information.
- Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.
- Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback.
- Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end financial close process including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost allocation.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Ensure State and Federal compliance regarding all financial functions.
- Ensure timely submission of internal and external financial reports.
- Other activities as assigned by senior management.
QUALIFICATION
Key qualifications for this role are:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent related field
Minimum of 10 years’ industry related experience with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
