About the role:

As a Team Leader, Operations, you will be responsible for managing all tasks required to execute physical order flows within the operational departments: Order Fulfilment, Assembly, and Warehouse Operations. These tasks must meet agreed SLAs with a clear focus on achieving the highest possible productivity and output, ensuring employee well-being, and maintaining cost efficiency.

You will create a strong “Team Herbalife”, consisting of Herbalife employees and temporary staff, where flexibility is key (training and cross-training). Your team will work in an optimal environment, following work instructions, procedures, and quality and safety standards.

This role requires a natural drive to continuously improve processes, quality, and productivity. As a Team Leader, you should also be able to step in for your fellow Team Leaders or Supervisor when needed (e.g., during holidays, training, or double shifts) to ensure smooth daily operations and supervision.

 

 

In this role, you will:

  • Build and maintain a strong team by hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating staff to achieve the highest level of flexibility, quality, and productivity.
  • Implement a “Breathing Factory” approach to optimise flexibility and support employee development.
  • Actively minimise working hours by maximising quality, output, and productivity.
  • Support the achievement of agreed Service Levels.
  • Take corrective actions and implement improvements based on quality analysis.
  • Identify improvement areas (systems, processes, materials) and define next steps for implementation.
  • Participate in assigned projects.
  • Follow up on HR actions as guided by the Manager/Supervisor.
  • Create the best possible working environment for employees.
  • Act as the first-line problem solver in case of equipment issues.
  • Manage performance conversations, including those related to temporary staff.
  • Conduct annual reviews with employees.
  • Be part of the BHV organisation to ensure coverage during all operational hours, including holidays and weekends.
  • Supervise a team of up to 15 employees.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams (WOT, WAT, Assembly, Order Fulfilment, F&M, Planning, GTS, QA, HR, Purchase) and external staffing agencies.
  • Foster an environment where innovation is encouraged and valued, with a natural drive to continuously seek improvements.
  • Contribute to the continuous ongoing process in Venray from changing three operational departments working with their own forecast and planning towards One Operation, driven by one forecast and one central planning.

 

Our requirements:

  • MBO Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Team player.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Empathy.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and develop.
  • “Can-do” mentality.
  • Experience with Oracle systems.
  • Languages: Dutch and English (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
