About this role

JOB OVERVIEW:  Experienced and has demonstrated a high level of skill in a variety of warehouse functions. Cross trained and performs at or above standard in several different job functions.  Trains others in various warehouse job functions.  Processes, generates and interprets various Distribution Center documents.  Assists with generating and summarizing warehouse related data including making decision and recommendations based on the data.  Ability to be a machine driver on several different types of equipment or a certified machine trainer, or performs other functions that require advanced system knowledge.  Often participates in special projects and perform other duties.  This role will require flexibility of schedule and areas of work. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Cross trained and working at or above standard in at least 3 different job functions
  • Demonstrated experience and willingness to work in any department where cross trained and on any shift on as needed basis (with little or short notice).
  • Trains others on a variety of warehouse functions.
  • Processes, generates and interprets various documents which require span of operational knowledge beyond basic functions within the Distribution Center.
  • Perform back up responsibilities for department Team Lead and/or Supervisor.
  • Assist with generating and summarizing warehouse related data including running reports and making decisions and recommendations based on the data.
  • Ability to be a machine driver on several different types of equipment or a certified machine trainer or performs other functions that require advanced system knowledge.
  • Often participates in special projects and performs other duties.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: 

Expanded computer skills beyond A-system and basic Office products.  Able to pass machine driver safety training for all required equipment.  Strong training, communication and leadership skills.  Good reading, writing, math and computer skills.  Detailed oriented, flexible and accountable for making accurate decisions under set guidelines.  Good problem solving skills.  Ability to follow instructions, work under stress and handle multiple assignments.  Ability to read fine print and differentiate products with similar characteristics.  Must be able to stand while operating equipment bearing full weight on both feet.  Must be required to work on machines which operate up to 5 levels high.    Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.  May encounter various environmental conditions such as hot and cool temperatures, hazardous items, noise, and dust.  Ability to grasp, bend, stand, reach above shoulder height, and walk extensively throughout the warehouse. 

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:  Knowledge and demonstrated skills of warehousing operations.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:  High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or comparable work experience.
