About this Position

The Sr. Manager Material Master Data is responsible for providing strong leadership to the Master Data team, ensuring high-quality, consistent, and reliable material and product master data across the organization. This role drives master data governance, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to support business strategies, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making.

What you´ll do

• Provide strong leadership to the Master Data team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, and ensuring each team member has clear roles, responsibilities, and development opportunities.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support the professional growth of team members. Recognize and reward outstanding contributions.
• Oversee Master Data projects and initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards. Monitor project progress and resolve any roadblocks.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the Master Data team, seeking opportunities to optimize processes, enhance data quality, and streamline data management practices.
• Collaborate with other department heads and stakeholders to ensure alignment of data management efforts with broader business strategies and objectives.
• Define and track performance metrics for the Master Data team, such as data quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Use these metrics to drive improvements and demonstrate the team's impact on the organization.
• Act as a point of escalation for issues and challenges faced by the Master Data team. Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making processes to overcome obstacles.
• Lead projects regarding master data maintenance in the domain product and material.

What makes you a good fit

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• +6 years of experience in similar roles.
• Extensive and specialized experience in Master Data Management, particularly within material and product master data domains.
• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP, including strong expertise in SAP Master Data processes.
• Proven experience working with SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) module.
• Strong experience in data analysis and reporting using Power BI.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing specialized Master Data teams.
• Solid project management experience in complex, cross-functional environments.
