About this role

Job Summary :

Endoscopy Tech provides appropriate procedure care with assisting physician and/or Register Nurse while performing endoscopic tasks. Maintains instruments and supplies as needed.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Assist physician with procedural related tasks
  • Monitor instrument/equipment for processing following standards or practice and guidelines. Cleans, decontaminates and sterilizes endoscopes and accessories.
  • Collects and obtains tissue specimens per protocol and guidelines.
  • Assists RN with patient care and transporting
  • Provides assistance in the order of priority and re-prioritizes as designated.

Education/Experience:

Endoscopy Tech education or Certified Surgical Tech (CST), preferred not required.

1-2 years of experience preferred.

Licensure/Certifications Preferred:

(CST) Currently certified by The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
