Summary:

Sells new or used vehicles at a profit to the dealership, while ensuring customer satisfaction.   

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Guide customers through the new BMW vehicle selection process with consultative selling
  • Conduct engaging test drives that showcase BMW's performance and luxury features
  • Build and maintain a strong customer base through exceptional service and follow-up
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales objectives while maintaining high customer satisfaction scores
  • Collaborate with our BMW Genius team, finance department, and service advisors to create seamless guest experiences
  • Stay current on new BMW models, features, technology, and competitive landscape
  • Manage customer inquiries through phone, email, and in-person interactions
  • Participate in dealership sales events and community outreach initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records in our CRM system and follow up on leads promptly
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
  • Participates in required training
  • Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system    
  • Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures
  • Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven sales experience or strong desire to build a career in automotive sales
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a competitive drive to succeed
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Automotive sales experience, particularly with premium/luxury brands
  • Established customer base in the Charlotte area
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of BMW products and brand heritage
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales processes

Computer Skills:

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products.  Intermediate ability to learn web applications for customer management.

Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.

Attendance Requirements:

The position requires regular and predictable attendance.  Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit.

Environment Demands:

Duties are performed throughout the premises, both indoors and outdoors and on customer test drives. Due to the nature of the position, may be exposed to various work environments and required to perform a variety of tasks. Heavy standing work. Work includes frequent movement around the company facilities and the outdoor car lot to interact with customers and other departments.

Verbal and Writing Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations.
