The role
The Global Category Manager IT will be responsible for overseeing strategic sourcing and contracting in HelloFresh for IT which include collaboration with business to optimize commercials for our software landscape, IT hardware, and infrastructure. The goal is to collaborate seamlessly with stakeholders and major suppliers across the globe and help them to navigate the procurement landscape. In addition, the role will be supporting initiatives targeted to increase the maturity level of Indirect Procurement’s processes and systems landscape. As part of the IT & Payments Procurement team the position will report to the respective lead based in Berlin.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial, confident, proactive and high-spirited Procurement professional with a strength for prioritisation, data handling and great stakeholder management. What you’ll do
- Conduct detailed spend analysis and benchmarking, evaluate market and competitive conditions, and use as a basis to create data based category strategies and sourcing activities
- Create, align and execute a sourcing roadmap with key stakeholders in the HQ and the local markets to deliver P&L savings and overall procurement value
- Develop and optimize the global software portfolio in close collaboration with teh other team members and the IT Services team in Tech
- Cultivate and manage close (senior level) relationships with business partners within Tech and other areas of the business with software needs to support their objectives and the company growth agenda
- Act as a point of contact for any IT related procurement questions
- Design and maintain category reporting to senior executives and internal stakeholders
- Lead or participate in the implementation of best-in-class procurement processes and tools
What you’ll bring
- Minimum 3 years in IT procurement or in Tech with a (strong) commercial focus
- Knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology, category management, and supplier management
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and enjoy working independently
- Experience in spend and market analyses as well as benchmarking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparing and delivering presentations and reports
- Demonstrated change management and project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to build trust and credibility with business partners
- Strategic thinker yet focused on execution
- Able to work in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment
- Fluent business English
