 Job Description: Program Associate Consultant  

Position Overview: 
We are looking for a Program Associate Consultant to join our Project & Program Management Excellence Team. This role will primarily focus on improving and implementing Project Management methods, tools, and processes. 
The suitable candidate will have the following expertise.  
Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies, alongside practical experience in financial and time management tools used in project environments. 
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of project management methods, tools, and best practices within the organization. 
Collaborate with project teams to ensure consistent use of project management software, templates, and methodologies. 
Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. 
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders. 
Support project teams to successfully deliver projects within budget and on time, while maintaining high-quality standards. 
Facilitate the project manager on the financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting. 
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings. 
As a Program Associate Consultant, you will work closely with senior consultants, project managers, cross-functional teams, and other stakeholders to support and optimize project planning and execution activities. You will play a key role in improving Project KPIs. 

Key Responsibilities: 
Project Management Methods & Tools 
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of project management methods, tools, and best practices within the organization. 
Collaborate with project teams to ensure consistent use of project management software, templates, and methodologies. 
Assist in the development and optimization of project management dashboards, reports, and tracking tools. 

Cost Planning & Budgeting 
Assist in the development of detailed cost plans and budgets for projects, ensuring alignment with project scope and objectives. 
Track and monitor project expenses and identify any discrepancies or potential cost overruns. 
Support in analyzing cost performance data and providing insights to project managers for decision-making. 
Manage the financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting. 
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings. 
Time Recording & Scheduling 
Work closely with project managers and teams to ensure accurate time recording of project activities. 
Ensure that the project support efforts are effectively charged to the projects. 
Generate and analyze time tracking reports to identify potential non-booked hours, scheduling issues, or inefficiencies. 
Assist in tracking project milestones and timelines to ensure that projects are delivered on time. 
Project Monitoring & Reporting 
Support the development of project monitoring processes, including cost tracking, time tracking, and resource utilization. 
Facilitate the Project / Resource Managers in planning and allocating resources effectively across various projects. 
Support monitoring and Reporting resource utilization and provides regular reports on resource allocation and usage.  
Collaboration & Support 
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, finance teams, and department leads, to ensure alignment on project cost and time objectives. 
Offer support in organizing and facilitating project review meetings, ensuring timely follow-ups on action items and project tasks. 
Provide training and guidance on project management tools and methodologies, specifically related to cost planning and time recording. 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
 Required Qualifications & Skills: 
Education: 
Any bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field. 
Certification in Project Management from reputed institutes (e.g., PMI, IAPM, PRINCE2) or equivalent is a plus, but not mandatory. 
Experience: 
2-3 years of experience in project management or project support roles, ideally with a focus on cost planning, budgeting, or time management. 
Proven experience in a project management role, preferably within a PMO environment. 
Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid. 
Experience with any project management software/tools (e.g., MS Project, SAP-PPM, Planisware, etc.) is desirable. 
Strong understanding of project cost planning, budgeting, and time recording processes. 
Skills: 
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret project data, cost reports, and time tracking information. 
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and process optimization. 
Proficiency in MS Excel and other data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.). 
Good understanding of financial concepts such as cost estimates, budgets, and variance analysis.  
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings 
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
