About this role
HEICO Component Repair Group is currently seeking a Shop Apprentice for its Miami Repair Station.
The Shop Apprentice will receive hands-on training in testing aircraft components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in testing, inspecting, and troubleshooting aircraft components according to FAA and company procedures.
- Learn to operate specialized testing equipment and tools.
- Document test results and maintain accurate records in compliance with FAA regulations.
- Support the maintenance and repair workflow for components.
- Maintain clean, organized and safe shop environment.
Skills and Education requirements
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and technical documentation.
- Basic understanding of tools, instruments, and mechanical systems.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work with aircraft components of varying size and weight.
- Ability to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, dust and chemicals.
- Able to handle small components and precision tools
