About this role

Overview of the Position:

Oversee the Analytical and Receiving department; perform visual and dimensional inspection and planning activities related to the functions in which the repair station is rated. Responsible for all training in both departments.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation and disposition of in-service hydraulic components for wear and corrosion through visual and dimensional inspection using measuring tools such as micrometers, gages, and indicators.
  • To ensure all articles are maintained in accordance with the customer's continuous airworthiness program.
  • To work in conjunction with, and provide technical support to machinists, operators, technicians and various department leads to solve technical issues
  • To ensure all maintenance is documented in accordance with internal, customer, OEM and FAA requirements, including documentation of maintenance performed on the work order/ traveler, bill of materials, picture sheets, and logs
  • Implementation of customer and OEM technical data into repair schemes Knowledge and Skill Requirements
  • Detail oriented with excellent time management skills
  • Must be proficient in the use of precision measuring tools and equipment to perform dimensional inspection of product such as micrometers, bore gages, and test indicators
  • Must be able to identify different plated surfaces such as chrome, nickel, cadmium and various thermal sprayed surfaces
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, CMM/OHM's, work order/ travelers and other written instructions
  • Requires previous employment experience for the services sought, including practical experience with the procedures, practices, inspection methods, materials, tools and equipment generally used for maintenance activities performed by the repair station
  • Other duties may also be assigned.

Qualifications

Education / Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have 3 years minimum of experience in MRO or relevant.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Is occasionally required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Works in moderate noise levels.
  • Minimal travel required.
