As a Software Engineer I, you'll take technical direction to deliver well-scoped work. You'll code, configure, maintain, test, and debug existing or new systems, and provide end-to-end support to applications.

What is your background?
- A Computer Software degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
- Basic knowledge of the build and deployment pipeline
- Ability to code by example and take mentoring / instruction.
- Basic understanding or desire to learn Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- For Software Engineer, ability to develop knowledge of relevant technologies (e.g. Node, PHP, DynamoDB, TypeScript, Java, Python, GraphQL, git)
What is the work?
- Works on defined technology projects under the guidance and direction of other engineers
- Creates documentation and training related to technology and systems / services within the team.
- Works with your team to execute team goals and participate in the system development lifecycle, including development, estimation, planning, and design.
- Works within established processes to ensure stories are appropriately sized for accurate estimation of delivery.
- Continues learning of engineering principles, design approaches, prioritization, escalation, etc.
- Codes / configures / maintains / tests / debugs existing or new systems; deliver quality features and bug fixes that align with our development process.
- Capable of on-call support, debugging, and troubleshooting
- Delivers high-quality, correct production code and troubleshoot software failures.
- Supports moderately complex tasks with guidance from other engineers as needed as you learn to take on moderately complex tasks independently.
- Assists in research and fact finding to develop or modify applications.
- Contributes to team planning and design discussions.
- Communicates effectively (verbal, listening, written) with team and manager.
- Takes technical direction to deliver well-scoped work.
- Actively seeks mentorship regarding the ins and outs of engineering, new technology, digital organization, teamwork, time management, etc.
- Learns to develop, test, and deploy enterprise-level software.
