Our technicians spend their workdays always on the go, working independently in the field. Not on your own dime, of course! Depending on the project you are assigned to, you will either receive a vehicle allowance to use your own vehicle for work or be issued a company vehicle.  Our company will provide almost all of the tools you could possibly need to perform your job safely and efficiently including a laptop and high-tech tools specific to your job function. Some of these tools were made and manufactured right here at Heath Consultants! That’s right! We are not JUST a utility contracting company, we are also inventors! These advanced technologies that we utilize will ensure that you have all of the resources necessary to be successful.

Your Responsibilities as a Leak Survey Technician:

Heath Consultants' number one goal is to protect life and property!  As a Gas Leak Survey Technician, you will be detecting, locating, and evaluating gas leaks and reporting leaks to the gas company.

Leak Survey Technician positions require continuous walking and working outdoors in varying weather elements. Along with walking, technicians will have to lift equipment, bend, kneel and stand frequently throughout the day, which will require the use of both upper and lower body movements.  In some cases, the technician may be required to be able to lift up to 75 pounds. The ability to read (or learn to read) and understand utility maps may be required to complete daily tasks.

At a minimum, applicants must meet these requirements:

  • Possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Pass pre-employment background and drug screening (there will be additional random drug tests throughout the course of employment as well)
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Be able to walk four to seven miles in all weather conditions.

Come work in a self-managed work environment where you’re not just another number, you are actually valued as a team member. Without our dependable employees, where would we be?! Here at Heath, we make it a point to value our team members and show our appreciation!

All of our positions are day/full time positions. Some overtime may be required as well as on-call shifts occasionally and some Holidays. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
