ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Exemplify at all times Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and organization.
- Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance and presentation standards at all times.
- Exhibit dining room appearance and presentation standards at all times.
- Exhibit serving standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Set tables and maintain work stations in proper order. Take order, provide service and requested items both graciously and courteously. Answer pertinent questions about menu items.
- Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service, assist with dish washing, and reset tables.
- Serve residents using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere.
- Knowledge of diets provided and served correctly per Policy and Procedure.
- Represent community in a warm and inviting manner, which creates a positive marketing environment.
- Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- Minimum completion of sophomore year in high school required
- Experience in food service work preferred
- Experience in working with seniors preferred
- At Clarendale of Mokena, our optimal candidate will seek fulfillment by serving the older adult population with a servant’s heart.
Starting pay $15.00/hour

- The Utility Technician/Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area, adhering to food quality standards, and providing courteous service to residents. This role also involves clearing dishes, assisting with dishwashing, and promoting a positive dining atmosphere.
