Key Responsibilities (What You’re Doing)

  • Lead the social media editorial strategy in alignment with Harper’s Bazaar’s voice, values, and visual identity.
  • Translate print and digital stories into culturally relevant, platform-native content.
  • Oversee daily and tentpole content production, ensuring editorial and visual excellence.
  • Partner with editorial, photo, video, and design teams to develop compelling multimedia content.
  • Manage community engagement with a focus on inclusivity, tone, and brand authority.
  • Track and analyze social performance data to optimize strategy and inform editorial decisions.
  • Guide coverage of major cultural events such as fashion weeks, award shows, and cover launches.
  • Manage and mentor a team of social editors and freelancers while fostering innovation.

Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)

  • 6–8+ years of experience in social media, editorial, or digital content, ideally within fashion, luxury, or culture-driven media.
  • Strong editorial judgment and fluency in fashion, beauty, and cultural trends.
  • Proven leadership in social strategy and team management.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Experience collaborating with creative teams to produce premium social content.
  • Ability to interpret performance data and apply insights strategically.
  • Hybrid: This role is based in New York City and requires 4 days per week in-office.

The base salary for this role is between $88,000 - $98,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
