TEMPORARY GEAR EDITOR

Runner’s World — part of Hearst’s Enthusiast Group — seeks an energetic, creative, detail-driven Temporary GEAR Editor to expertly and thoroughly evaluate running shoes and gear, then craft compelling reviews, roundups, and product-centric content across all channels of the brand. The ideal candidate can expediently and accurately generate data-rich product previews and summations of products based on reported information, collation of reviews and opinions by testers, and the person’s own use-testing. Must be able to generate lively, concise content on a daily basis.
 
The role is based in Easton, Pennsylvania, 4 days a week.

Responsibilities
 
* Work with the Test Director to originate, plan, create, and publish shoe testing and related content in line with performance metrics
* Stay abreast of developments, research, and breaking trends in all relevant product areas.
* Produce stories daily while simultaneously creating longer works for our site, magazine, social feeds and other channels.
* Analyze article performance metrics and make data-driven improvements to increase engagement, conversions, and affiliate commerce.
 
Qualifications
 
* Experience researching, reporting, writing or editing test or service content
* Budget- and metric-driven personality
* Must be able to manage feedback from multiple parties and deal with fast-changing priorities
* Familiarity with traffic-tracking systems like Google Analytics, Chartbeat, and Parse.ly
* Ability to thrive under multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines
 

The base salary for this role is $30/hr. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
