Ashford Hospital are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join our fast-paced and dynamic Critical Care Unit. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in a challenging and rewarding environment. About the role:

  • Work in a busy cardiothoracic and general ICU

  • Includes looking after post-operative cardiothoracic and general surgical patients

  • Look after patients with complex medical conditions, inclusive of dialysis, ventilation and non-invasive ventilation.

  • Work in a fast-paced environment

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, whilst delivering safe and patient focused care.

About you:

  • Current South Australian DHS Working with Children Clearance

  • Current AHPRA Registration

  • Minimum of 3 years Nursing Experience in High Acuity Surgical or Critical Care

  • Demonstrated understanding of National Safety and Quality Service Standards

  • Staff will be required to provide proof of immunity / vaccination to specified infectious diseases

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Ability to lead by example, demonstrating the professionalism and culture of Ashford Hospital

  • Committed to continuous quality improvement

  • Committed to provision of quality nursing care, education and customer service

  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to effectively manage under pressure with competing demands

Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance Incorporated, known as ACHA Health, is one of the largest private not-for-profit hospital groups in South Australia. ACHA Health comprises Ashford Hospital, Flinders Private Hospital and The Memorial Hospital.

Ashford Hospital offers a range of specialties including cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, general medicine, gynaecology and maternity, oncology, orthopaedics, urology and vascular surgery. Ashford Hospital has 9 operating theatres, 1 procedure room, 2 angiography labs, an emergency department, maternity services, 24/7 cardiac emergency centre and a 24-bed level 3 critical care unit.

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the “Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance (ACHA) & Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) South Australian Branch – Nurses’ & Midwives – Enterprise Agreement – 2024 (‘Agreement’ or ‘Enterprise Agreement’)” (salaries range between $42.37 -$53.04 per hour).
