We are seeking Oncology/Day Infusion Nurses to join our Day Chemo Unit at John Fawkner Private Hospital in a part time capacity. If you are driven and passionate about delivering outstanding patient care, then we want to hear from you!!

Our Day Chemo Unit is a busy outpatient treatment clinic with 8 chairs for complex oncology and medical treatment and procedures. The role requires sound clinical skills, effective time-management and the ability to work within the interdisciplinary team

As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:

·       Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care

·       Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) 

·       Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs · Led successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes

·       Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs

·       Act as a role model for Safe Practice

Essential Criteria:

·       Authority to Work in Australia

·       Working with Children check (if relevant)

·       Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent

·       Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA

·       Minimum 1 years’ experience within a Medical/Oncology hospital setting

·       Understanding of cytotoxic medication

·       Experience across Veno puncture and CVAD Care

·       Completed EVIQ  

·       Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

·       Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement

·       Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team

·       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

·       Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused
