About this role

Ringwood Private Hospital are seeking a CSSD Technician to join our theatre team on a casual basis 
As a member of our team you will play an important role, in providing high quality service to theatres.

Key responsibilities will include:

·         Thermal disinfection inspection, packaging and sterilising of all instrumentation for theatre and other clinical areas

·         Comply with AS/NZ standards 4187 2014, GENCA

·         Operate interpret and document all machinery operational requirements

·         Report and document all quality activities

·         Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes

As a CSSD Technician you will be pivotal for safe and efficient preparation of equipment for surgeries in the theatre environment. You will undertake designated cleaning tasks ensuring high standards of cleanliness (including personal) are maintained, utilising universal standard precautions and as per policies and procedures.

Essential Criteria:

·         Certificate III in Sterilization

  •     Victorian Working with Children Check

·         Must be available for a minimum of one shift per week Monday-Friday

·         Sound knowledge of AS/NZ 4187 2014

·         Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation

·         Experience with tracking systems

·         Experience in Endoscopy, Setup and handling Loan equipment, or willingness to learn

·         Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail

·         Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS office and various data bases

·         An interest in promoting best practice patient care

·         A focus on professional development
